Nazanin Khosravani is was an Iranian political journalist who has worked in for reformist newspapers such as Norooz, Bahar, Kargozaran, and Shargh. She has not appeared in public or been active since her release from prison.
Nazanin Khosravani was arrested on November 15th, 2010 at her parents’ home. She was charged with acting against national security. She spent 132 days in prison and was released on bail for $500,000. She was sentenced to 6 years in prison on February 8, 2010.
Khosravani refused to write a forgiveness letter to the supreme court and she went to prison for six years on March 5,2012. On August 15, 2012, she was freed along with many other prisoners due to “the supreme leader’s forgiveness.”
