The mission of CyberDissidents.org is to research and analyze Internet activists in the Middle East, translate and republish their works, and highlight repression against this group by authoritarian regimes. To fulfill this mission, Cyberdissidents.org will pursue the following core programs:

"Who's Who" Directory, Blog Translations and Analysis:

A directory of leading CyberDissidents in the Middle East is published on the CyberDissidents.org web site. Blog postings of leading dissident bloggers in the Middle East will be monitored and translated from Arabic and Farsi into English and other Western languages. An online searchable database of the translated blog postings will be provided as well.

Grassroots Internet Campaigns:

An online Action Center is integrated into the CyberDissidents.org web site enabling visitors to both sign online petitions as well as generate letters to members of Congress in support of leading CyberDissidents in the Middle East.

CyberDissident Monitors and Annual Reports:

A periodic email newsletter reporting on the repression against CyberDissidents in the Middle East will be distributed and an annual report highlighting the human rights violations against CyberDissidents in the Middle East will be published.

Campus Programs:

Cyberdissidents.org is recruiting student ambassadors to organize protests, lectures and letter-writing campaigns on behalf of Internet activists in the Middle East.
